DR LAUREN BLACKNEY
BVBiol, BVSc (Hons)
Lauren graduated from Charles Sturt University with Honours in 2014 and started her career in mixed practice in Numurkah. Luckily for us, the call of home brought her back to Albury-Wodonga and she turned her focus to small animal practice here at MRAH. She is now one of our Senior Associate Veterinarians.
Lauren is passionate about how we share the important medical knowledge you need for your pet’s care. She believes in taking the time to explain treatments so you feel properly informed about all your options. She also has a strong interest in preventative care and developing health care plans that will keep your pet thriving.
From the very beginning, Lauren has been an exceptional researcher. As a student vet, her Cattle Farming Practices project was presented at the International Buiatrics Congress in 2014. As a Senior Associate, she consults on complex cases and treatments as well as specialised diagnostic imaging. She also takes an active role in training our junior nurses.
Lauren has two young children and loves spending time with them, her husband, and their dogs Skip and Jasper. She also continues her love of cattle and has a few cows of her own.
